about

There are few albums from 1989 that sound less like that calendar year than Dog Age's debut "Good Day". Bypassing the glossy studio sheen of the time, these Norwegians looked back to the summer of 1967 for inspiration and the resulting album must have sounded spookily out of place and alien on it's original release. It's combination of Beatlesque psychedelic pop and classic folk-rock has dated extremely well and I challenge you to find an album from 1989 that now sounds as vibrant, fresh and exciting as this does.

Dog Age are still going strong with a new album expected later on this year, but now is your opportunity to revisit or discover for the first time these first two hard to find albums that laid the groundwork for everything that was to follow - classic stuff.

Recommended if you like: The Beatles, Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd, UK Pop-Psych.

Downloaders will also receive the follow up album "Sigh No More" from 1991 including the classic single "Freda's Married", as well as the A-side of the single "Violent" - that's 14 bonus tracks, only available to downloaders.
