"The Active Listener Introduces..." series is a new digital only series that aims to introduce listeners to artists of a psychedelic nature who deserve a wider audience. Since launching the Active Listener website, I've been exposed to literally hundreds of psychedelic, acid folk and progressive artists that deserve household name status. I've now invited only the very best of these artists to feature in the "Introduces.." series.

Each release will be selected and sequenced by the artists themselves, and the artist's proceeds will be used to pursue further recording and physical product opportunities.

Hi-Fiction Science guitarist James McKeown has a rich solo catalogue of quality psychedelic semi-acoustic material. There's a heady early Pink Floyd feel to a lot of it.
2012's "English Dream" occupied the number two slot in the Active Listener Blog's 2012 Albums of the Year list while last year's instrumental album "Sublime Knight Elect" featured highly in the 2013 list. Both are featured on this compilation, as well as highlights from McKeown's self titled debut.
